I came to boot camp somewhat reluctantly at first, but was encouraged by many friends who found themselves to be addicted to many aspects of camp. I have always incorporated my workout into my lifestyle, but, with various injuries and time constraints, this was not my reality any longer. I've always been a little freaked out by "the gym" but am always up for a new adventure, and it was one of the best decitions I've ever made! The many lifestyle changes that boot camp has brought about are far reaching, and I didn't even realize what a difference it was going to make in my big picture! The change in my body in the first month was unbelievable! There's such comfort in knowing Nisa is watching out for me, both because of her professionalism and her down to earth realism when it comes to encouraging each person as they need a little prodding along! I have been doing boot camp for 5 months now, and truely didn't think I'd do it beyond the first month... it is addicting! The friendships I've developed in class, the lifestyle changes and ultimately the new appreciation I have for the power I've found within myself make boot camp my favorite surprise in quite awhile! If you're reading this trying to decide if you'd like it....give it a try...I'm so thankful I did!

My name is Ella Dershowitz, I'm 16 years old and i've been training with Nisa for three summers. Every summer I look foreward to working out more than any other daily activity. I, like many others, am impatient, competetive, and get bored easily, which is why working out with Nisa is so increadible - it's actually fun. We do different workouts every day, plus she challenges me to push harder than I knew I was cabable of. I have been known to enjoy myself so much that I forgot I was working out, but was reminded the next day by a pleasent soreness, and rewarded at the end of the summer by awesome muscles. Being an ex-gymnast, I never liked the idea of working out just to get strong, but I love these workouts, and finish each one energetic and exhilerated. Nisa is also great at creating workouts keeping in mind specific injuries (I can never succesfully use my "bad knees" as an excuse not to do lunges because they truly never hurt while I'm working out). In addition to feeling great about my body and energy levels, I love getting to spend time chatting with an interesting, funky, and cool person like Nisa. Over the past three summers, I have learned an incredible amount about my body's abilities, and about how amazing working out can make me feel. I have pushed myself to a point where I have shocked myself, but never once have i dreaded a workout...and I think that says it all!

I've been training with Nisa and the Miss Fits at 6am for 9 months consecutively (minus our vacations in January). I can't seem to imagine my mornings beginning without out the friendly faces and healthy energy. The group dynamic and positive re-enforcement keep me grateful that I get up every morning to join the ladies for our daily challenge. Don't get me wrong, I curse the alarm and think of a thousand reason why I should sleep and not go, but I'm always glad once I get going. Over the months I've met dozens of wonderful women with the same important goals, strength, empowerment, health, self esteem and agility. Looking great just comes with the territory, feeling great is unavoidable once you believe in yourself, you will see your body and stamina change for the best. Our workouts change daily, weekly and monthly depending on the weather and how are bodies are feeling after the previous workouts. This keeps our interest and works our muscles for a complete body makeover. I'm an addict thoroughly and recommend this experience to everyone who wants to see what a wonderful world of health, beauty and fitness await us all. With the guidance and support of this wonderful inspiring trainer who knows how to lead us with style grace and determination we can achieve any goal.

It took months of friends asking me to join because I was scared to start.
I bartend until late at night, so, getting up at 5:30am requires strategic napping. There are no excuses for lack of sleep. The results are undeniably worth it.
I have been seriously working out for over 4 years; meaning paying for memberships by the year or month, working with several trainers, and incorporating yoga, biking, and roller blading. Not much changed until Nisa's Boot Camp. The results I have had in the past 4 months have blown away my expectations. I lost 8½ inches in the first 1 month session.
Nisa, who is comfortable with commitment, asked us to limit something like red meat, alcohol, white bread, or candy (our choice). She offers daily advice & non-judgemental advice to keep us going.
Some are astounded or hesitant about the 5-day-a-week commitment. However, the way Nisa mixes up our workouts, helps us mentally and physically succeed. If we do a half mile of lunges along the Beach Road seawall one day, we get to enjoy a day in the pool at the Mansion House to loosen up the next day. The process of exercising Monday through Friday, and training sessions that build on each other, is what is changing my body. And not only me! Our whole class sees changes. Mixed with proper eating, everyone sees inches lost on arms, legs, and core.
Workouts consist of lifting weights in the gym, heading out to Owen Park, the Inkwell Beach, and Memorial Park, and sometimes walking the West Chop Loop. The constant change of pace keeps things interesting and doesn't allow our bodies to acclimate to the same exercise every day.
Injuries are taken very seriously. Nisa can cater a workout to someone with back, knee, and wrist issues. I have been diagnosed with plantar fascitis in my feet, and I have not had a problem since starting Boot Camp.
If what you want is body transformation, this is the place to be. Miss Fits Boot Camp has veered me in the direction that will change my life. And after 4 months of waking up at 5:30am, and investing a good sum of money, do I think it’s worth it? Most definitely.
About the cost: considering the amount you will spend on medicines, operations, health insurance, therapy, and crazy diet programs, this preventative measure is relatively cheap.
This is truly worthwhile.
It is hard work. Very hard work. And the payoff is amazing.
The love you begin to have again, for your own body, matched with the trust you cultivate in yourself, can't be bought.
It's easy to make it to class when your trainer clearly enjoys what she does. Nisa changes people's lives for a living. Her support and that of our fellow Boot Camp girls is why I've lost 20 lbs in 4 months.
